A some good friends of mine work on a site in the C&CC Central Region. They informed me of a story doing the rounds of a site manager at a site next to a theme park, that sent a parent home with a child because they had one infant too many in a "Ready Camp Uint"! Yes you read it right! He approached the family when he noticed they had a child more than the permitted 6 people in a unit. The 7th was an infant and wasn't being charged anyway.
Our "hero", realising the club was in danger from such blatant rule breaking, then confronted the family and made the parents choose between all of them leaving, with a refund, or removing one of the children from the site and the rest of the family could stay! The distraught parents then had to choose which of the children lost out on a week-end on the theme park! Eventually one parent took one of the children home, leaving the other one there with the rest.
Now I realise that there are maximum numbers in these units to stop people overcrowding them but can anyone really justify the actions of someone doing that? How mean does a site manager have to be to separate a family and dash the hopes of a small child by making him go home! Surely one small child extra in party wasn't that big a deal? Not only that he reported them to Club HQ.
Like I said I'm hearing this at least third hand so perhaps, and I really hope it is, just a spoof story. My source is a reliable person and he claims he heard it from his managers, who in turn learned of it from friends of theirs who are also managers. Keep up at the back! They were disgusted at the other manager and were really angry that someone could do this. it seems that the managers that have heard of this are really upset that these actions could tar everyone who works with the club as being miserable gits because of one moron!
Can anyone substantiate, or deny the event?
