If Bob is looking for ways of cutting costs, why not start with the RSM role, not our responsibility allowance, if we all took a look at the role, we would see how unfair it is to the HSM's and HSA's.
They get the pick of the parks, always the larger ones, so they get more staff and now with the new payroll structure, hench more money, more staff(single assistants).
The single assistant is only there to cover for two days whilst the RSM is away from site, and usually are on forty hours or more, also paying out for extra staff pitches to be built on these sites, or using viable camping pitches to accommodate them.
The cost of the role is apparently far more than the Club first anticipated, to which I have been reliably informed.
Some RSM's claiming nearly a thousand pounds in travel expenses.
Lets get to the nitty gritty it's an HSM visiting another HSM, they have no clout the ultimate decision is down to the BDM.
Basically a goffer.
BDM's have proper training most probably from a past life.
RSM's were employed by quantity not quality, with no training to speak of,even being interviewed over the phone.
HSA's have also been left out in the cold, who do they turn to if there is a clash between HSA's and HSM's as the process dictates you go to your RSM who in turn has to goffer, sorry go to their BDM.
I have met HSA's who have never ever met their respective BDM's.
RSM's selectively picking their site teams still remains grossly unfair.
When RSM's interview prospective new site assistants, I will give you three guesses to where that successful candidate will end up doing their work experience, again boosting their bulging staffing levels, what about putting them on sites where the Managers are on their own untill May.
Bob introduced this role at the conference, stating "We have listened to your needs, and created a new role", sorry Bob you listened to HSM's claiming not to have seen their then Area Sites Manager for the past six months.
We did not ask to be visited by another HSM.
