just a few questions to clear things up please
1 "Sunday afternoon will be on the bell" great , I take it your being paid to be on the bell whilst chilling at your van? if not its your free time! 2 from 6 till 8 whilst you are" answering the intercom^ you are getting paid arent you? 3 " they wont pitch off roaders after 8 if they cant be bothered to ring" ...so will you be expected to pitch them after 8 if they have rung and will you be paid?
these few questions cut to the heart of all our current upsets and it would be nice to hear your answer

So just wondering .Hope this helps as managers we have the same idea as the previous comment above. When the office shuts at 6 our assistants will be on Rota until 8 then half an hour from 10 30 to check loos on lates as we we will be when we are on lates. Off roaders if they ring will be told to arrive for 8 as will every one who we take a booking for .. Off roaders after eight we also arnt letting on .. no way are we leaving barrier code for all and sundry to let them selfs on at will.what's the point of the barriers lol .personally i think the club should grow a pair and put their foot down with arrivals after 8pm.

1. Yes we are getting paid! It's part of our rota'd hours
2. Ditto
3. Campers who have pre-booked but have been held up in traffic, for example, will be pitched up to 21.00, so off roaders who have rung will be pitched until then. After 21.00 those saying they can't get here by then won't be allowed to enter. Off roaders or people ringing on the day will be asked to pay in full when they ring, (up to the office closing at 18.00), then we will take a site info leaflet back to our van and turn out when they arrive, so we don't actually have to go into the office. If they choose not to pay on the phone they'll be told to hand in their driving licence, or membership card, (we haven't decided which yet), and then come into the office after 09.00 the next day. Early leavers, after 0700 -09.00 will have to pre pay or not allowed on.
No one is getting codes, keys or access unless they agree to our conditions, and no one gets to pitch themselves! It will take to much effort to sort out the problems of the 6 metre rule the next day. Issues of noise or unsociable behaviour will be dealt with whatever the time. This is for our own benefit NOT The C&CC as an employee.
Anyone ringing from H/O, RSM or BDM to complain of these conditions will be told to pop down to the site and pitch them themselves!
None of us is prepared to work for the club for nothing. We either get paid or the time back, at a time agreeable to everyone. There has been no falling out, no tantrums and absolutely no bullying behaviour, or arm twisting to get us to agree to any of this. We work for each other, and are happy to do so

thanks for letting us know what your doing.
we all know that every site needs its own particular system of working to deal with its own situation
its great your getting paid till 8 ...couldn't you get an extra hour out of the rota till 9pm if your pitching till then
youve decided to work from 8pm till 9 pm for free and i assume remain on site throughout the night on call { after a full days ground work its not surprising )
Usually HQ/management decide what is club policy on important matters such as late night arrivals ,payment policy etc...how have they taken you deciding policy instead? will the club be printing info on your sites webpage highlight your changes ?
ITS nice to see folks sorting thing out for themselves ...best of luck and lets hope for a good season

We do not work any hours that are not on the rota last toilet check 8 pm any late night arrivals after 8 pm go in the car park and will be put on a pitch at 9 am ( they still have to pay to go in the car park ) .
It won't take long for the campers to get used to the new system it will be nice to be able to have a shower or evening meal without the bell going

I Think you will find the signage the club have sent informs the camper to come through the club's gate and pitch themselves, we are not being asked to work after 8pm, the club owns the sites not the managers.

Im. not starting till late due to a short contract this year and I am very interested in these changes. If these are enforced across the network it will be a huge improvement and a long overdue rebalance in manager/HSA relations. Oh .imagine being able to sit down at 8pm and not have leave my dinner to get cold

Just wondering says that 'Sunday afternoon on the bell', getting paid its part of our rota'd hours.
Really, you're getting paid from 1pm to 8pm to do nothing! What a waste of manpower.
Also campers/off roaders who arrive after 8pm will ring the bell and it will need to be answered as it may be an emergency. Not all sites have an intercom so dinners will still get cold 'Getting it straight'. And f there is an emergency telephone number posted outside the office you can bet the off roaders will ring that.

Every site is getting a phone for blue light e mergencys after 11pm. Before that the camper is to ring for their own ambulance ( not qualified , who would you want in an emergency a flapping member of staff or a paramedic )If some one books on day it is club policy to take full payment already. And if you have a decent car park why wouldnt you direct off roaderz there (site specific ) as for already booked on cars full of kids they will pitch themselves because they will have rang before 8 to inform of late arrival. People on here need to chill instead of getting on at people who are looking at the positives !!!!

There are over 400 site assistants in the C&CC and they are all entitled to their opinion, positive or negative. Not or all sites have car parks that will accommodate late arrivals. not all campers have the sense to ring the site to say they will be late. not all emergencies will occur after 11pm. not all campers in tents will have the sense to use the 6m rule and I still can't believe the HSA is being paid 7 hours to do next to nothing on a Sunday but I do believe managers will trot out the well worn phase "if you want to be a manager......" whenever an assistant speaks out/disagrees.

Whinge whinge whinge all negatives you turn to positives its part of the job . Never mentioned managers but always thought this forum should be called let us all bitch about managers .. we have had 5 sets and all are great as to the new policy each site is differant and all the managers and assistants will deal with the site how it runs best. No point stressing about e mergencys that may not happen and small car parks .. The campers will pitch them selves and if they get themselves stuck in the mud , well it may encourage them to arrive at a daecent hour so they can be assisted .

a previous member mentioned that the CCC has around 400 HSA,s...yep....and as most sites only have manager/skeleton staff at the moment its only fair to wait until sites are fully staffed to see how it all runs
I imagine that most managers are pulling their hair out this season with the changes and thinking how to protect any advantages they have made for themselves in previous seasons
Wonder if managers also got a bollocking for using staff as unpaid shop staff ,also with each shop making several thousand pounds profit they must be hoping they are not forced to share profits

How thick seems to thing we shouldn't wings about managers...he's right you know. Its HR/management who have written the illegal contract in previous years. If the CCC has to stand up and give evidence in an employment tribunal it will be HR in the dock( or their lawyers). Its pointless querying the legality of your contract with anyone except who's name is at the bottom

Several thousands pounds profit?? Which planet do you live on !!! Really we wish .. if you want to give us £500 at start of each season to go halves with supplies .gas .Ice cream .maps etc .I will gladly share my several thousands of pounds . Get real. And our shop is only open from 9an till 10 30 and then 4 till 5.30.rest of the day we are all out doing camp site jobs .And before you say anything else I actually declare what we earn each Jan and guess what we don't earn enough to pay tax on it .instead of constantly calling the people who you work with for most of the year you should try and talk to each other .you may actually enjoy your job then .And yes you have hit a nerve cheeky git .
